| Pat St. John is Richard and the Young Lions' favorite DJ. Not only is he a great friend of the band, and one of our biggest supporters, he is also the narrator for "Out of Our Dens - The RYL Story", and was actually on the air in Detroit when RYL hit it big there. He is one of Detroits (CKLW,WKNR "Keener") and New York's (WPLJ, WNEW, Q104, and CBS-FM) most loved and respected DJ's and currently is on Sirius Satellite Radio. |

Thanx to Steve Chappell, we now have a clip of Pat St. John introducing "Open Up Your Door" back in September, 1969 on CKLW-800 Click here for the mp3. Heres Steve's description: "I recorded this the week of 9/23/69. "Hot Fun in the Summertime" was #1 on the CKLW Big 30. About 3 weeks later we drove to Windsor Dragway where they were featuring the Big 8 Jocks. After the drag race we went to the CKLW studio on Riverside Drive West and happened to see Pat St. John in the parking lot and talked to him for about an hour. He was a real nice guy. We tried to get a tour but he said it wasn't allowed. The bad news is the audio in this aircheck is really muddy. My uncle had given me an old boat anchor tape deck that was obsolete even then so that's all I had." Added July 1st, 2002 Click
